INDUSIATUS

Inspired by the species of fungus knows as Phallus Indusiatus, or Veiled Stinkhorn.

Indusiatus captures a notably absurd form within the fungal world. What begins as a small spherical eggsac, later stands as a tall capped stem with a large ‘veil’ protruding from the underside of the cap.

This piece highlights the lightness and lack of density in some fungi, a feature that has wonderful potential to be conveyed within steel.

As a continuous line of products, Indusiatus is an every expanding series of forms that will evolve and differ in massive ways, making each piece completely unique, similar to the individuality of every fungus observed.
